Description:  All 1882 blue seal national bank notes are collectible and some can be rare.  The 1882 $10 bill pictured below is from Green Bay.  However, most any bank in any city in the United States could have issued these types of notes.  Please contact us for exact values, there is no accurate price guide available online.

The year 1752 is written near Benjamin Franklin who happens to be flying a kite.  The right side shows a bare breasted winged woman.  The back of 1882 $10 bills show William Fessenden.  The major design elements stay the same across different issues.

In order for a bank to issue 1882 blue seals, they had to first issue brown backs.  So that means that 1882 blue seal $10 bills will likely not be the most valuable or interesting type of currency issued by that bank.  The back of these bills show the years 1882 and 1908, because of this they are called date backs.

Variations:  99% of people collect series of 1882 $10 bills based on the bank of issue.  However, there are two rare signature combinations for this note.  If your series of 1882 five dollar note is signed by Rosecrans and Morgan, or if it is signed by Parker and Burke, then you what you have is rare.

Even if your ten dollar bill isn’t signed by the people above, it could still be very collectible.  Send us a picture of what you have so we can tell you the actual collector value.
