Description:  Series of 1914 $20 federal reserve star notes can be rare.  The value of 1914 $20 star notes is based on the issuing district, signature combination, condition, and exact serial number.  Each district issued $20 star notes starting at serial number 1.  So there are lots of opportunities to acquire low serial number star notes.

Each serial number starts with a letter (A-L) which represents the issuing district.  The hollow star symbol is found at the end of each blue serial number.

Variations:  There are 46 different varieties of 1914 $20 star notes when you take into account signature and district differences.  Of those 46, only 33 are currently known to exist.  That means that several 1914 $20 star notes have the possibility of being very rare.
