Value of Misprinted Fifty Dollar Bill

Value of Misprinted Fifty Dollar Bill

Fifty dollar misprints can be tougher to locate simply because the fifty dollar bill is not a heavily printed denomination.  That is not to say that fifty dollar bill misprints are especially rare or valuable, they are just not available at will like some other denominations.

We have a full guide to misprinted money here.

The most commonly available fifty dollar misprints are from the 1928 to 1993 series that featured a green seal and serial number.  Age does not really help the value of a fifty dollar misprint.  In fact, modern fifty dollar misprinted bills with the newest redesign are probably worth more than the same misprint on a 1950 fifty dollar bill.

As with any misprint, the value of the bill increases as the severity of the error increases and as the issue becomes more colorful.  A misprint on a fifty dollar bill with a gold or brown seal will be worth more money than a misprint on a fifty dollar bill with a green seal.

We do purchase misprinted fifty dollar bills.  However, in order to make an offer we have to see a scan or digital photo of the bill.  Please send an image to admin@oldcurrencyvalues.com
