Description: Right now there are only five series of 1918 $10,000 bills known to exist. It gets worse, all five are in government holdings. That means that there are no ten thousand dollar bills from 1918 in private hands. Furthermore, if you have a bill with the following serial numbers then what you have is fake.
Fake numbers: B1A, B420A, D1A, L204, L1957A We know that the above serial numbers are fake, because those are the serial numbers of the five 1918 $10,000 bills held in government collections. The good news is that it is very plausible that several 1918 ten thousand dollar bills should and do exist in private hands. If you have one of these, and it doesn’t have one of the five serial numbers listed above, then please tell us about it. We are ready to pay a lot of money for an authentic example. |
