Description:  It is currently thought that only nine $100 national gold bank notes are known to exist.  We know this because each number has a unique serial number and nine have been documented.  These were printed for a short period of time in the 1870s.  While it is likely that one or two more could be hiding waiting to be found, this will always be a rare issue.

Long story short, lots of collectors like and need these notes.  If you collect California national bank notes, national bank notes by type, United States currency by type, or even if you collect coins, then these notes will appeal to you.
