Description:  1869 $50 bills are very rare.  They are also exotic looking.  This is the only fifty dollar bill that features Henry Clay.  The female figure on the right hand side of the bill is supposed to represent Peace.

All serial numbers on 1869 $50 bills will start with the letter Y.  Each serial number ends with a blue star symbol.  Based on known serial numbers, it appears that about 600,000 of these were printed.  Today more than 60 are known to exist.  The paper these were printed on is different colors, hence why collectors have nicknamed these rainbow notes.

Variations:  There are no varieties to the 1869 $50 bill.
