Description: Thomas Jefferson is once again the man featured on the Series of 1875 two dollar bill. These notes are not very popular because this design was basically unchanged from 1869 until 1917. Of course two dollar bills do have a special allure to them. So there are some collectors who focus on this denomination.
All 1875 twos have two red seals. The serial numbers are also printed in red ink. If the note below doesn’t look like your series of 1875 two, then you probably have a $2 national bank note. |

Variations: Series of 1875 two dollar bills can be signed by either Allison and New or Allison and Wyman. Both signature combinations are common. However, if you have an 1875 two dollar bill signed by Allison and New, and the bill has a red circular over print that says “Series A 1875” or “Series B 1875” then you have a rarer variety.
