Description:  Series of 1882 $1000 gold certificates are quite scarce.  There are only a couple dozen known to exist with collectors and in institutions.  Alexander Hamilton is pictures on the right hand side of the bill.    The seal types, colors, and placement are different on each issue.  However, the basic design is the same.

Variations:  There are eight different types of 1882 $1000 gold certificates.  The varieties are based on the seal color and signature combinations.
