Description:  Series of 1891 $10 treasury notes are common and available in both very high and very low grades.  Mid-grade notes can be more difficult to locate.  Due to the fact that 1891 $10 treasury notes don’t have an exciting design they just aren’t very popular right now.

General Sheridan is featured on the front of 1891 $10 treasury notes.  All serial numbers on these bills end with a star symbol, but that does not mean that they are replacement notes.  A small red seal is also on the front of all bills.  The big difference between 1890 and 1891 treasury notes is the back.  The backs of 1891 ten dollar treasury notes have a lot more blank space than the attractive all green backs found on 1890 notes.
