Description:  1913 gold certificates are an interesting issue.  These are the only denomination and only type of bill printed for the series of 1913.  This doesn’t make them especially rare or valuable, just more of an oddity.

Grant is featured at the center of the bill.  As you might expect, the serial numbers and seal are both gold.  The backs of these gold certificates are a rich orange color.  There were no star notes issued for this series, despite being printed during the large size star era.  If you have any questions about the exact value of your bill, then send us a picture of it and we would be happy to share our opinion.

Variations:  1913 $50 gold certificates can be signed by:

Parker – Burke
Teehee – Burke

Both signature combinations are worth the same amount of money.
