Description: Twenty dollar bills from the series of 1914 can either have red or blue overprints. Notes with red seals and serial numbers are always rarer than the blue seal varieties. 1914 $20 red seals were only printed for a short period of time. Just like all collectible money, the value of these depends on the serial number, the bank of issue, and the condition of each note. The condition can make the different between a 1914 $20 bill that is worth $200 and something that is worth $2,000 or more.
Grover Cleveland is featured at the center of the bill. The back of each bill shows a locomotive and a steamship. Star notes were not printed for any red seal series, that includes the 1914 $20 denomination. |
||
Variations: All red seal series of 1914 $20 bills are signed by Burke and McAdoo. The varieties are based on the issuing district and federal code placement. All twelve districts issued these bills. Each district comes in two varieties with exception of Atlanta and Dallas. | ||
