Description:  There were only 40,000 series of 1922 $100 gold certificate star notes printed.  Surprisingly, 30 have already been discovered by collectors.  That is a great survival rare on such an odd issue.  1922 $100 gold star notes are available a few times a year.  Their value is based on their exact serial number and condition.

Unlike most gold certificates, 1922 $100 bills have a serial number printed in blue ink.  The hollow star symbol is found at the beginning of the serial number and the serial number always ends with the letter B.

Variations:  Series of 1922 $100 gold certificate star notes are only signed by Speelman and White.  There are no mule or type varieties.  Each note will of course have a different serial number and plate letter.  Otherwise, all 1922 $100 star notes look the same.
Other:  If your series of 1922 $100 bill has a serial number that starts with a letter, then you have a regular issue note.  You can learn more about standard serial number 1922 $100 bills here.
