The series of 1928A two dollar red seal legal tender note is slightly tougher to obtain than some other notes in the series. However, 1928A $2 bills are still very common and affordable notes.

Just like any regular issue red seal two dollar bill, the 1928A goes for around $5 in a heavily circulated condition. A nice VF example tends to sell for around $25. Uncirculated 1928A two dollar bills can get semi-expensive. A truly uncirculated note as graded by a third party will sell for $300 and up.

Somewhere around fifty million 1928A $2 red seals were printed for the AA block. The later 1928A two dollar issues got into the BA block, and almost nine million were printed there.

Like all red seal two dollar legal tender notes, the series of 1928A $2 notes features Thomas Jefferson on the front and Monticello on the back.

Series of 1928A $2 bills were printed between January 1929 and February 1932. This time period coincide with the dates of office shared by WO Woods and AW Mellon.
