Series of 1928C red seal $2 bills are very common in all grades.

A heavily circulated 1928C two dollar bill can be bought at will for about $5. A nicer looking, but still circulated 1928C two shouldn’t cost more than $20. A choice uncirculated note typically retails for around $75.

There is one slight variation to the 1928C $2 red seal that can be very valuable. That variety is the 1928C $2 mule. Mules will have different size face and back plate letters. Mules are found from the 1928C series in either the very high BA block or the very low CA block.

All told, almost 90 million series of 1928C two dollar legal tender notes were printed.

Like all red seal two dollar legal tender notes, the series of 1928C $2 notes features Thomas Jefferson on the front and Monticello on the back.

Series of 1928C $2 bills were printed in the early part of the years between January 1934 and July 1944. These dates coincide with when Henry Morgenthau Jr. and WA Julian were in office together.
