99% of 1934A five dollar silver certificate star notes are very common.  A common circulated 1934A $5 star note shouldn’t cost more than about $20.  Uncirculated star notes for the series of 1934A start at about $125. Even high grade 1934A $5 star notes are common.

There is one very rare type of 1934A $5 star note.  These notes are known as back plate 307 star notes.  If your 1934A $5 star note has a blue seal and the number 307 in small print on the back of it, then it will be very valuable.

No one knows exactly how many 1934A $5 silver certificate star notes were printed.  However, based on observed serial numbers and known ranges we can be certain more than 5,000,000 1934A $5 star notes were printed.

As with all 1934A $5 silver certificates, 1934A $5 star notes also feature Abraham Lincoln.  They were printed in Washington DC.  The design elements are also the same.  Each star note has a blue seal on the right hand side of the bill.  The serial number starts with a star symbol, has eight numbers, and then ends with the letter A.  The serial number is also in blue ink.
