Oversized One Hundred Dollar Bills – A Guide With Values
Oversized one hundred dollar bills were printed between 1861 and 1928. Despite the long time of issue, most $100 bills are very scarce today. The most common issues are blue seals from 1914, gold certificates from 1922, and some 1902 blue seals. Everything else will be worth thousands of dollars or more. Even really nice examples of the three common $100 bills listed above can still be valuable.
There are two reasons large size one hundred dollar bills are rare today. Very few were printed, and the ones that were printed were much too valuable (in terms of face value) to keep as a souvenir. When you factor in inflation, a $100 bill was worth $2,200 in 1880.
