Misprint Showing Sides of Two Different Bills
This is a confusing misprint for some people. For this to be a legitimate misprint the serial number and seals must be placed in the center of the bill. If the entire bill is shifted then what you have is cut from a sheet on purpose by someone trying to deceive collectors. It is impossible to fake where the serial number is printed below.
This same misprint can be shifted to the right, top, or bottom. A dramatic version of this error will sell for about $300. Lesser misprints on circulated notes are actually very common and don’t sell for much of a premium. Obviously, this error on something like a silver certificate of a $2 bill would be worth more money.
