Repeater Serial Number on Currency – Values and Pricing

A note with a repeating serial number has to consist of some kind of pattern that repeats itself.

Example: A02150215B, B22556611A, A22727777D

Basically the term repeater is used to define a lot of “interesting” serial numbers that don’t neatly fall into other groups. However, repeaters can also fall into other groups. For example the serial number A12341234A could be a ladder repeater. The serial number A01010101A could be a binary repeater.

Repeaters are some of the least value but still collectible serial numbers. The serial number B49994949A might be worth a couple bucks more than the same note without a repeater serial number.

We really don’t buy many repeaters unless they are part of larger collections.
