Series of 1928A star notes are very common.  These can be bought in circulated grades for around $30.  Choice uncirculated notes still carry premiums for the 1928A $1 star note series.  A 63 or better 1928A $1 star note should cost around $250 and go up from there.

All print ranges for the 1928 one silver certificate star notes overlapped each other, so we don’t know exactly how many 1928A star notes were printed.  However, it is safe to assume that at least ten million were issued.

Series of 1928A $1 star notes were printed between January 1929 and February 1932.  This time period coincides with the dates of office shared by WO Woods and AW Mellon.
