There are no varieties to the series of 1934D five dollar Federal Reserve note besides regular issues and star notes. Five dollar bills from 1934D with a star symbol at the end of the serial number have a chance to be worth $50 or more. The value of 1934D star notes purely depends on condition and the serial number.

Regular issue series of 1934D five dollar bills with a green seal are very common. Series of 1934D fives that aren’t in perfect condition will typically trade for around $7. 1934D green seal fives in brand new condition can be worth $20 or more.

Remember that the series letter refers to the letter listed after or below 1934 as seen below. It has nothing to do with the letter that begins or ends the serial number.

 

 

Series of 1934D green seal five dollar bills were signed by Georgia Neese Clark as the Treasurer of The United States and by John W. Snyder as the Secretary of the Treasury.

As with most five dollar bills, the series of 1934D five has a picture of Abraham Lincoln on the front and The Lincoln Memorial on the back of it. All series of 1934D five dollar bills were printed in Washington DC. However, they were issued for all twelve Federal Reserve districts. The twelve districts are Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, and San Francisco.

Series of 1934D five dollar bills with a green seal are called Federal Reserve Notes. As such they have the following nomenclature on them: “This Note Is Legal Tender For All Debts, Public And Private, And Is Redeemable In Lawful Money At The United States Treasury, Or At Any Federal Reserve Bank.” And “Federal Reserve Note The United States Of America Will Pay To The Bearer On Demand Five Dollars” – “The United States of America Five Dollars” And keep in mind that nothing from 1934 will ever say “In God We Trust”.
