Description:  Series of 1875 one dollar bills look very similar to 1874 and 1878 one dollar notes.  Expect to find two red seals and red serial numbers on your 1875 one dollar bill.  These notes are fairly common – but there are some rare varieties described below.

There is a picture of George Washington on the 1875 one dollar bill.  You can also find the Embarkation of the Pilgrims scene on the left hand side of the bill.

If the note below doesn’t look like your series of 1875 one, then you probably have a $1 national bank note.

Variations:  Series of 1875 one dollar bills can be signed by either Allison and New or Allison and Wyman.  Both signature combinations are common.  However, if you have an 1875 one dollar bill signed by Allison and New, and the bill has a red circular over print that says “Series A 1875” (or B, C, D, E) then it will be worth more money.  Contact us with a picture of your note for exact pricing.
