Description: Series of 1875 $10 bills really aren’t appreciated in today’s market for the rarity they represent. If you are looking for a place to put some money, consider purchasing an 1875 ten dollar legal tender. They are currently under priced.
The design of 1875 ten dollar bills is the same as the design of ten dollar bills from 1869, 1878, and 1880. Daniel Webster is featured on the left hand side of the bill and Pocahontas is on the right hand side of the bill. One of the reasons that these notes aren’t very popular is that you can get a note that looks exactly the same from other years for less money. If the note below doesn’t look like your series of 1875 ten, then you probably have a $10 national bank note. |
||
Variations: All 1875 $10 bills were signed by Allison and New, but there are two different varieties.
The more common variety says “series a 1875” just above the eagle on the front bottom of the note. There rare variety says just “series 1875” |
