Oversized Twenty Dollar Bills – A Guide With Values
Oversized twenty dollar bills can have a series date anywhere from 1861 to 1922. Most twenty dollar notes printed before 1880 have a chance to be quite valuable. The most common large size $20 bills are from 1922 and 1914. 1906 is also a fairly common year. Notes from 1905, 1890, and 1886 are popular and usually rare.
Most old oversized twenty bills you will find will be authentic. However, anything printed for 1861 and 1862 should be examined carefully. There are good counterfeits for those years.
If your $20 bill says something about a “national bank” then you have what is known as a national bank note. National bank notes are valued based on their serial number, bank of issue, type, and condition. Some are worth $50 and others can be worth thousands of dollars. Contact us for exact pricing.
